UnitedHealthcare has announced rate adjustments by product, plan and underwriting changes, for January 1, 2016 effective dates.
All rates are available for quoting!
RATES
Medical
- HMO: 3.2% DECREASE
- PPO: 5.5% DECREASE
Dental: pending
Vision: pending
Life: RATE PASS
PLANS & BENEFITS
The UHC portfolios and the plan offerings within each will receive many changes. Resources detailing changes are located to the left with specific items included below.
Three Portfolios:
- Choice Simplified, Choice Simplified II, and the Multi-Choice State Package.
Every HMO plan will receive:
- Updated Mental Health/Substance Abuse parity benefit to include inpatient and outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment.
- Clarified language regarding Injectable/Self-Injectable Drugs and Infusion Therapy to read "per medication."
Every PPO plan will receive:
- Updated Mental Health/Substance Abuse parity benefit to include inpatient and outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment.
- Virtual Visits will be an included benefit for every plan except Multi-Choice State package plans.
UNDERWRITING
- Union/Non-Union group total must be 100 or less and the minimum of 5 enrolled will no longer be required.
- A DE-9C will no longer be required for groups with 10 or more enrolled.
- 10+ eligible groups must complete the Participation Certification form in lieu of a DE-9C.
