SHARE |
Aug 05, 2015
Starting with January 1, 2016 or later effective dates, Anthem has updated their Blue View VisionSM Small Group portfolio as follows:
-
Small Group has been redefined as employers with 2 to 100 employees. Before it was defined as 2 to 50 employees.
-
You have more plans to choose from: 2016 standalone vision plans.
Clients who buy both a Medical and a Vision plan should evaluate their vision needs carefully. That's because most of Anthem's 2016 medical plans that meet Affordable Care Act (ACA or health care reform law) rules include the following Blue View Vision coverage at no additional cost:
-
An adult embedded exam plan
-
A pediatric vision Essential Health Benefits (EHB) plan
Whether your clients' Blue View Vision plan is included as part of their Medical coverage or as a standalone plan, employers and members can expect great coverage. From network to pricing to service, Blue View Vision leads the industry. Here's how:
-
Anthem is the largest vision network in the country, with convenient retail locations and extended hours.
-
Anthem offers the industry's best discounts and incentives, including 35% to 40% off extra glasses.
-
Simplified administration, from enrollment through claims processing, takes the hassle out of managing your clients' benefits.
-
Anthem's connected Medical and Vision plans can lead to early detection, prevention and management of chronic conditions, to help keep your clients healthy and productive.

Not all ACA medical plans include adult vision coverage. Clients should check their ACA medical summary of benefits to verify adult vision coverage. Discounts are subject to change without notice. Laws in some states may prohibit network providers from discounting products and services that are not covered benefits under the plan.
