Did the early commitment date of another carrier's Small Group Early Renewal strategy cause you and your clients to make a decision for 2014 too early? Do you have clients that are simply looking for a new home?  
Well, it's not too late. Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) is making it attractive to enroll your clients for a December 2013 effective date. In December, your clients can:
  • Enroll in any of Anthem's 2013, pre-ACA plans and networks;
  • Take advantage of decreased participation requirements;
  • Obtain a .90 RAF when enrolling six (6) or more; 
  • Lock in current rates and benefits for 12 months;
  • Come Back to Blue with no prior renewal RAF requirement; 
  • And help you earn a bonus!
But hurry! Time is running out for a December 1, or December 15, 2013 effective date. Submission deadlines are Thursday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 11, 2013, respectively.

Anthem is making it even easier to enroll new groups with their new underwriting participation requirements:
  • 1-9 Enrolled: 75%
  • 10-19 Enrolled: 70%
  • 20+ Enrolled: 60%

The Anthem .90 RAF program expires after December 15, 2013 effective dates so act quickly. There are a few rules, but not too many.
  • AB1672 qualified group.
  • Six (6) or more must enroll.  
  • No renewal RAF.
  • All portfolios are eligible.

Anthem Blue Cross is offering their Come Back to Blue promotion through December 31, 2013!

Anthem will waive the 12-month rule and Guarantee Issue lapsed groups that would otherwise qualify under AB1672 when they reapply for Anthem Blue Cross Small Group Medical coverage.
  • No minimum group size.
  • No prior renewal RAF requirement.
  • Not available to any group that has been denied reinstatement and/or is currently in collections.

Make sure to refer to Deadlines & Offers for details on how Come Back to Blue groups may qualify for a guaranteed lower RAF or contact your b&p Sales Representative to discuss Come Back to Blue. 

Through December 2013, Anthem is offering an aggressive, four-tier bonus for new Medical group sales and an exciting bonus for Dental, Vision and Life sales.  
New Medical Sales per Group Bonus
  • 10-19 Enrolled: $1000
  • 20-29 Enrolled: $2000
  • 30-39 Enrolled: $3000
  • 40-50 Enrolled: $4000
