Employee counts now required for all new business applications
Aetna Small Group needs one more piece of information with new business applications. They're asking employers for their average total
employee count. Aetna needs this number to comply with the Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) requirements of the Accountable Care Act.
Please include this new form with all new business applications with effective dates on or after October 1, 2011.
Aetna will also ask for employee counts again when the plan renews. At that time they’ll send a letter asking for the average number of employees from the previous year.
