51+: 2009 Annual Benefit Changes Effective November 1st
Jul 09, 2009
Coming Soon - 2009 Annual Benefit Changes
Throughout the years, you have consistently placed your trust in Anthem Blue Cross to provide creative solutions to your clients' health coverage needs. This year, they have made some key changes that will make it even easier for you to grow and retain your Large Group business.
As you know, Anthem Blue Cross recently restructured their Sales and Account Management teams to be more responsive to you. In addition to the recent successful team restructure, they have enhanced and consolidated their Large Group product portfolio. Plans for groups of 51-250 and those for groups of 126 or more employees have been combined into one health and specialty product portfolio for groups of 51 or more. Groups of 126 or more employees will still have some additional plan options.
And that's not all! They've developed new broker tools that will make it easier than ever to sell Large Group products. Your new broker kit will include:
- Solutions at Work Brochure. This is a completely revamped version of the Anthem Blue Cross Large Group product brochure. This year it contains all Large Group products - including specialty - so you and your clients have one source for all your benefit needs.
- Broker Plan and Benefit Guide for Large Group California Businesses. This handy guide outlines Anthem's reasoning behind the enhancements to Large Group. It also offers high-level information on 2009 annual benefit changes and legislative updates.
- Medical Cost Trends Flyer. It's important to keep an open dialogue and promote transparency about the reasons behind the continuing rise of health care costs - especially in light of the efforts Anthem Blue Cross is making to control those costs.
The 2009 Annual Benefit Changes become effective November 1, 2009. However, you will soon be able to quote from the consolidated Large Group product portfolio. And, you'll also be able to order the Large Group broker kit.
So, stay tuned! Additional information will become available in the next few weeks regarding quoting and the new broker kit.
