Health Care Reform has transformed the health care marketplace and brought many changes and challenges – one of which is the Employer Mandate. At Anthem, they have the solution to meet that requirement.
They are excited to introduce their NEW Large Group Anthem Elements Choice EQ Portfolio built specifically to meet the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Employer Mandate requirement.
Available to businesses with 51 or more employees.
The government granted a one year delay in the implementation of this provision to 2015 (except for employers with 50-99 full-time workers in which it is delayed to 2016 if they meet certain conditions). This portfolio is being made available NOW effective October 1, 2014 so that your clients can take advantage of enrolling their employees working 30-39 hours and to implement this important coverage.
This portfolio was designed to meet the ACA 60% minimum value coverage requirement and consists of 6 new plans:

The Anthem Elements Choice EQ portfolio will look familiar, as it mirrors the Anthem Elements Choice portfolio effective January 1, 2014. However, this new “EQ” portfolio is separate and unique in the following ways:
Note: Active employees are not eligible for the “EQ” product but they are eligible to enroll in the original Elements Choice product (without EQ in the name).
