2014 has been an exciting year of new plans and products and 2015 is starting out with great new plans as well!
Anthem is pleased to share a recap of the plans they rolled out in 2014 and introduce a great 2015 health portfolio for businesses with 51 or more employees, giving you even more choice and flexibility for your clients and their employees.
RECAP – 2014 ADDITIONS
Effective April 1, 2014, Anthem added:
- Two new Classic HMO plans
- Two new Value HMO plans
- One new Value Deductible HMO
- One new Anthem Elements Choice HSA
Effective July 1, 2014, Anthem added 12 plans to their Anthem Balanced Funding portfolio giving you more options for your clients. Plus, an additional RX plan was added to this portfolio.
Effective October 1, 2014, Anthem introduced their Anthem Elements Choice EQ portfolio. This portfolio is for the new or existing businesses with 51 or more employees who have not previously covered full-time equivalent employees working 30-39 hours.
New plans to round out the various product families, effective January 1, 2015:
- Solution PPO 1500/20/10
- Rx 10/$20/$40/20% with Infertility (for Non-Pooled clients)
Healthy Support plans effective January 1, 2015 - for the more health-conscious members who are engaged in their health and wellness. These members can earn rewards and special incentives for healthy behaviors such as being tobacco free or gym reimbursement. This portfolio includes:
- Three Healthy Support HMO plans
- Four Healthy Support PPO plans
- Three Healthy Support HSA plans

Anthem Blue Cross Vivity effective January 1, 2015. As you have heard, Anthem has partnered with seven of the top hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange County to offer Vivity, an integrated health system. More details will be forthcoming. Click here for Anthem's announcement.
