New business group to lobby against new health insurance taxes
A coalition of business groups called Stop the HIT on Small Business has formed to work toward repeal of the health care reform law's new taxes on health insurers, which they believe will cost small businesses at least $87 billion.
House committee weighs fix to health reform law's medical loss ratio provision
A Congressional hearing last week focused on excluding agent commissions from the medical loss ratio calculation, as required under the Affordable Care Act, to fix a potentially negative consequence of the provision.
