Eagerly Awaited Report on Essential Health Benefits Released
The Institute of Medicine last week released a report that advises federal regulators on criteria and methodology for determining the essential health benefits package effective in 2014. Benefits should be based on the "typical" small employer plan, and states should have some flexibility to determine what is essential.

Oklahoma has announced that a coalition has been formed to create free-market solutions to the federal mandates created by the Affordable Care Act.
