New Accountable Care Organization Rules Released
The Obama administration and challengers of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) have accelerated their filings to the U.S. Supreme Court, making it even more likely that the justices will take up the case this term. Also, federal regulators have released a final ruling regarding the operation of Accountable Care Organizations.
Other highlights include:
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation requiring coverage for a limited refill of prescription eye drops if the patient requests the refill prior to the prescription expiration date.
The Texas Speaker of the House has released interim committee charges, a legislative blueprint for the January 2013 session.
California's Department of Managed Health Care and Office of the Patient Advocate get a new home and new duties.
