House Votes to Redirect Preventive Care Funds

The House last week voted to subsidize lower student loans by taking money from a preventive care fund included in the health care reform law. The Senate is not expected to follow suit.

  • Illinois wants to cut budgeted funds for special needs children in nursing homes and somehow shift those costs to private insurers.
