Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Health Care Reform Case
As expected, the U.S. Supreme Court on November 14 agreed to hear constitutional challenges raised against the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The case is on track to be heard by March, and a ruling could be issued before the end of the Court's spring term in June.
Other highlights include:
Ohio voters have approved a constitutional amendment aimed at preventing enforcement of the ACA's individual coverage mandate.
Georgia has been granted a modified waiver from the medical loss ratio requirements of the ACA.
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has announced a new plan to save the state $853 million in Medicaid costs.
