HHS Announces Waivers for Limited Benefits Plans to Last Two Years
New federal rules concerning applications for waivers from ACA's annual dollar limits restrictions, until 2014, will allow carriers and employers to receive a waiver for a two-year period rather than just one year at a time.
Repealing PBM Law and Enacting an Autism Mandate Among State Actions
A number of states took action on the health care front last week: the Maine legislature repealed the state's PBM law; Nevada's governor signed into law health exchange legislation; New York's legislature passed an autism coverage mandate bill; and the Texas House voted to join an interstate compact to adopt regional rather than national health care regulations.
