Changes to AMAP for 2010


Please remember that your AMAP funds must be spent by December 31, 2009, and you must submit for reimbursement within 60 days of the expense. Starting this year, however, the final deadline to submit your reimbursement request is December 31, 2009. Your AMAP funds do not roll over, so either use them by December 31 or lose them.

The Reimbursement Form and Checklist is always available for you to download from the AMAP section of the Agent site at anthem.com.

Remember, you can use these funds for a variety of marketing materials, including direct mail pieces, shared mail and yellow page advertising. Just make sure to submit any advertising pieces or telemarketing scripts to the AMAP Department for written approval before using.

Important news about 2010 AMAP funds

Starting in 2010, your funds earned through AMAP will be based on Individual and Senior production only. Small group production will no longer earn AMAP funds. Also starting in 2010, you may only use your AMAP funds for marketing Individual and Senior products.

Co-op funds will still be available for small group marketing. In 2010, interested agents should discuss their co-op proposals with their small group account executive. Each funding decision will be independently evaluated.
