Change in Anthem Dental EOBs Effective January 2016

Starting January 1, 2016, employees with Dental coverage will no longer get an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in the mail if zero payment is due. When services are covered at 100%, there are no out-of-pocket expenses for members.

Anthem Blue Cross is committed to improving member communications and streamlining the administration of your client's health care plans. By no longer mailing zero payment paper EOBs, Anthem aims to:

Employees who use the Dental member website at anthem.com/ca/mydental can log in and select Claims Inquiry to see their claims history. Members can also verify payments to the dentist, see if they have zero payment responsibility, and print a copy of the EOB. If members experience any issues getting to their EOBs online, they can call customer service at the phone number listed on their ID card.

Use this ​message to let your client's employees know about this important change to their Dental EOBs, and encourage them to register online to view their EOBs, see claims and much more.
