The Continued Need for Reform: Building a Sustainable Health Care System
In 2009 during the health care reform debate, we released our core public policy positioning document, Building a Sustainable Health Care System, which provided information about our position on the reforms needed to create a sustainable health care system in the United States.
Today, we are pleased to share with you our refreshed public policy positioning document, The Continued Need for Reform: Building a Sustainable Health Care System. In this document you will find our position on many of the existing reforms, as well as key areas where we support additional reforms that we believe need to be established to create a sustainable health care system:
· Improving the quality and safety of health care while controlling costs in the delivery system
· Implementing insurance market reforms that ensure a vibrant, functional marketplace
· Ensuring that public and private rates for services and coverage reflect true costs
