Early Retiree Reinsurance Program fund and submission update
It is official! The Early Retiree Reinsurance Program has received requests for reimbursement over the $5 billion in funding appropriated. So what does this mean for our customers?
On December 16, 2011, the Department of Health and Human Services released a bulletin proposing that states pick one of four options to create a benchmark for defining the essential health benefits package.
According to the interim final rule for the grandfathering provision, a plan must maintain "continuous enrollment" to keep its grandfathered status. To comply with this part of the law, we will close grandfathered plans that have no members at renewal.
