Important Change of Leadership Announcement

Anthem Blue Cross in California announced today that its president, Leslie Margolin, has left the company. Mark Morgan, Anthem's vice president of Small Group Sales, will serve as acting president of Anthem Blue Cross on an interim basis, effective immediately.
Morgan has extensive experience in the health insurance industry and has led the development of sales and distribution strategies for Anthem's small group business since 2008. Prior to joining Anthem, he held several senior-level leadership roles in sales, operations and product development at Blue Shield of California and Health Net.
During her tenure with the company, Leslie played an integral role in collaborating with regulators, as well as hospitals and providers across the state. She has been a champion of innovative initiatives that improve patient safety and quality outcomes. She has also forged significant partnerships in California, sponsoring educational programs that prevent obesity and promote health and wellness for our members. She leaves having built an excellent team and having established a tone of constructive engagement with all constituents, to which we remain fully committed.
