Hills Physicians Medical Group - SF (includes UCSF physicians) will be added to the Aetna Value Network effective 5/1/2010.
Brown & Toland Medical Group will terminate from the Aetna Value Network effective 6/1/2010. Affected AVN members assigned to Brown & Toland have been sent correspondence regarding this change. No change is being made to the Aetna Full HMO Network.
Aetna Value Network plans will be expanded to Santa Cruz effective July 2010.
Aetna's agreement with Good Samaritan Hospital terminated effective 4/17/2010 from the Los Angeles area. This termination is for all commercial plans. Aetna Medicare(HMO) terminated effective 6/1/2010. Alternate hospitals include:

Empire Physicians Medical Group's contract with Aetna has been resolved. Any member that received termination letters regarding Empire Physicians will be receiving retraction letters shortly.
LaVida Medical Group & IPA has been issued a Cease & Desist Order requiring Aetna and all other health plans to reassign members assigned to LaVida Medical Group & IPA. Members will be reassigned to other network IPAs effective 6/1/10.
Brotman Medical Center located in Culver City terminated all lines of coverage effective 6/1/10. The following hospitals in the immediate area are available: Olympia Medical Center, Marina Del Rey Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and St. John's Hospital.
Ojai Valley Community Medical Group will be closing down operations. Effective 6/1/2010, 12 of the 13 PCPs will be contracted with Seaview IPA. All members will be moved to Seaview IPA effective 6/1/2010. Letters are being sent to affective members of the change to Seaview IPA.
