New Tools Help Employers Spread the Word about Personal Health Record

Introducing
www.aetnacommunicationkits.com – a new website to help you more easily engage employees in their health.

This new communications website makes it easier to promote the Aetna Personal Health Record (PHR) to help increase consumer awareness and activity regarding their health. It can be used to gather materials and content for health and wellness events, open enrollment communications, or other initiatives.

With a few clicks on www.aetnacommunicationkits.com, you can select and/or download communications materials, upload employee mailing files, pick a mailing date and complete a delivery order – all from one convenient website. There is no need to print pieces or try to set up mailings on your own, you can do it all from this new website!

Aetna DocFind® now contains messages about sharing PHRs online

One of our most popular online resources, Aetna DocFind, now shows users which health care professionals are eligible to view PHRs online. There will be an indication next to each health care professional office appearing on the Search Results page that lets the user know whether that office is eligible to view the PHR online, if the user so chooses.

On the Search Results page for the Aetna Navigator® and public versions of DocFind, right next to eligible doctors’ contact information, a link appears that leads to a page with more information on PHR online delegation. This screen notes that not all members have access to a PHR, but encourages those who do have access to share it online with doctors. With more than 48,000 views in the month of March alone, this link has already proven to be a very successful way of spreading the word to consumers, right when they are likely to be scheduling an appointment!
