UHC’s 2016-17 Flu Shot Program

Aug 18, 2016

UnitedHealthcare has assembled a broad-based approach to providing flu shot access for its members during the 2016-2017 flu season. Each vendor has been carefully selected based on coverage, service commitment and the ability to serve a variety of customer needs.

Benefit Coverage
Members should review their benefit plan to determine coverage for flu immunizations. Preventive services, including immunizations, are provided under the standard, fully insured UnitedHealthcare Certificate of Coverage (COC). Many self-funded customer plans also include coverage for approved flu immunizations, but are dependent upon benefit plan and may include member copayments or deductibles.

2016-2017 Contracted Flu Shot Providers
Access to flu shots is available through a variety of providers offering a range of convenient options. UnitedHealthcare members may present their health plan ID cards to receive flu shots on a walk-in basis from the national flu shot providers listed below. No appointment is necessary.

Retail Pharmacies

Network Convenience Care Clinics

Note there may be some instances where a particular location of one of these providers is not participating in the national UnitedHealthcare network.
