Go Paperless with Health Net: Good for the Environment, Easy for Subscribers
Health Net continues to strive to make doing business with them easier for their subscribers. In a move to make accessing important information more convenient and reduce use of natural resources, they have added the option for subscribers to receive Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) online instead of as mailed paper statements. Plus, subscribers can choose to receive an email alert when a new EOB has been added to their profile.
It works like this: When an EOB is ready for the subscriber to view, Health Net will send them a quick email with a link to their website. Simply log on to view the document – that’s it. All of the subscriber’s EOBs will be securely located on their website for them to reference whenever they like.
To opt-in for this service, subscribers can follow these easy steps:

Log on to www.healthnet.com and enter a user name and password.

Under Get Things Done, choose Manage My Account.

Click on Change Document Delivery Preferences and select Online.
Note: If children are under the age of 18, Parents automatically have access to view their child(ren)’s EOB.
If subscribers don’t have a user name and password yet, they may complete a registration and choose online EOBs at the same time! Just click Register Now on Health Net’s home page. The subscriber will need to have their subscriber number from their Health Net ID card handy.
Health Net wants subscribers to experience the added convenience of accessing their EOB online. While online, the subscriber can explore the other valuable tools and information that can help them make the most of their health and their health plan.
