Network: Southern CA Update Regarding Universal Care Medical Group
As the health plan for many of your clients and employees, Health Net's goal is to keep you updated about changes to their network of Southern California health care providers.
Effective Date: JULY 1, 2009, Universal Care Medical Group (#2844, #2847, #2849, #3129) will be acquired by AltaMed Health Services.
This transition affects only the Orange County Universal Care Medical Group sites. Universal Care Medical Group will remain an active PPG in the Los Angeles County area only. The new PPG sites will be the following:

Members will automatically be transferred to the new ALTAMED MEDICAL GROUP site and
remain with their current PCP.
This is an administrative change only and does not affect the way members obtain services.
There will be NO CHANGES to the hospital and/or specialist panel.
