Aetna is pleased to share that their parent company, CVS Health, has expanded access to COVID-19 testing to 1,200 CVS Pharmacy locations across the country. Aetna wants to make sure their partners and members hear about this opportunity, so please provide the this flyer to your clients for their employees, as the appointment schedule fills up rapidly.
Each site offers drive-through testing. Tests will be sent to an independent, third-party lab for processing, and results will be available in approximately three days.
Collectively, the sites will be able to process up to 1.5 million tests per month. By increasing access to testing, CVS Health hopes to help slow the spread of the virus. Testing will be overseen by licensed MinuteClinic® health care providers. No testing will take place at CVS Pharmacy® stores or MinuteClinic locations.
Testing will be available to individuals who meet criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov), in addition to state residency and age guidelines.
Important: Patients will need to pre-register in advance online at CVS.com* in order to schedule a same-day time slot for testing. Please be sure to share this requirement with clients and their employees when you tell them about the testing site. A physician referral is not required.
