Aetna Plan & Rate Updates Effective April 2021

Aetna announced ​plan and rate updates for April 1, 2021 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

Rates

Quarterly medical rate change (may vary by plan, region or network)

• OAMC/PPO: Rate pass
• HMO: -3.4%
  • Additional -5% for plans on Full HMO network
  • Additional -2% for plans without infertility

Annual medical rate change (may vary by plan, region or network)

• Northern CA:
  • OAMC/PPO: 6.6%
  • HMO: -0.8%
• Southern CA
  • OAMC/PPO: 3.3%
  • HMO: 0.4%

1/1/21 dental rates were extended through 4/30/21, they will change for 5/1/21-6/30/21 effective dates. There are no changes for vision rates at this time.

Plans

There are no changes to existing 2021 plans, however, Aetna has added 16 HMO plans that match current HMO plans except they do not include infertility. These 16 HMO plans without infertility have been added retroactively to January 1, 2021.
