Aetna Plan & Rate Updates Effective October 2021

Aetna announced ​plan and rate updates for October 1, 2021 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

Rates

Quarterly medical rate change (may vary by plan, region or network)

• OAMC/PPO/EPO: -6.05%
• HMO: -5.27%

Aetna provided the follow breakdown of quarterly rate adjustments.

Dental rates will be changing effective October 1, 2021. There are no changes for vision rates at this time.

Underwriting Updates

Pick 5 is now Pick 10! Groups can now pick any 10 plans. There is no need to worry about which network can be sold together - any combination of plans can be offer under Pick 10.

Aetna has also streamlined the process for common ownership and newly formed groups.

2021 Broker Bonus

Take advantage of Aetna's new rates to earn a bonus from Aetna. You can earn extra dollars for selling dental, vision and Aetna Whole Health – Southern California OAMC, EPO and HMO plans. The bonus is the same if you sell directly with Aetna or through a general agent.
