Aetna: Small Group Gag Clause Prohibition Compliance Attestation

Aetna has reassessed their approach for the Gag Clause Prohibition Compliance Attestation (GCPCA) for fully-insured and small group AFA plan sponsors. Aetna will submit the Gag Clause Prohibition Compliance Attestation on behalf of all fully-insured and small group AFA plan sponsors. In order to submit the attestation, Aetna is evaluating the completeness and accuracy of plan sponsor contact information they have in their systems. In the event Aetna does not have complete information, they will be requesting assistance from the Account Management teams to collect and update the required data. Given this decision, Account Managers do not need to send the Plan Sponsor letter and Aetna attestation to fully-insured or small group AFA plan sponsors.
