Anthem Extends COVID-19 Special Enrollment through April 15th

Anthem continues their deep commitment to expanding access to care and helping to ease the financial burdens of COVID-19. With that commitment in mind, Anthem is extending the previously announced Special Enrollment Period (SEP) through April 15, 2020.

The SEP is available to employees in Fully Insured Small and Large Groups who previously waived participation in employer-sponsored plans. State eligibility guidelines apply.

Who's eligible?

Employees, their spouses and dependents who were eligible for benefits during your clients' Open Enrollment are eligible for this SEP if they had previously waived coverage. This does not apply to life and disability plans.*

What about ASO groups?

ASO groups decide whether they'll offer the SEP.

*For Anthem's Fully Insured Group Life and Fully Insured Group Disability groups, the Special Enrollment Period will not apply. The existing enrolled Disability and Life population shall remain covered, subject to the all other terms of the policy.
