Anthem announced plan and rate updated for April 1, 2019 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!
Rates
Medical:
- HMO: 4.8% average quarterly increase (average annual decrease of 0.8%)
- PPO: 4.5% average quarterly increase (average annual increase of 5.7%)
Dental & Vision plans are having a rate pass for Q2 2019.
Underwriting Promotions Extended!
- Relaxed Participation: 25% participation for groups of 5 or more enrolled subscribers! 65% participation required for 4 or fewer enrolled subscribers.
- DE9C: Not required with 6 or more subscribers enrolling! Groups with prior coverage must submit prior carrier bill. Excludes virgin groups.
- Valid Waivers: Individual coverage both on and off of the Exchange will be accepted as a valid waiver
- Dual HMO Networks (Dual network no longer offered for PPO): Groups can select both of Anthem's HMO networks to be offered alongside each other!
Specialty Updates
- No DE9C required when placing specialty lines only.
- 24-month rate guarantee extended into Q2! Applies to new Dental, Vision, Life and Disability coverage.
- 5% bundling discount when placing new dental plus any additional line of specialty.
