Anthem Plan & Rate Updates Effective January 2022

Anthem announced rate and plan updates for January 1, 2022 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

Rates

Medical Quarterly Rate Change Average:

• PPO: 1.1%
• HMO: 0.5%

Medical Average Annual / Renewal Rate Change Average:

• PPO: 3.4%
• HMO: 2.7%

Dental Metallic/Essential Choice PPO, Legacy, & Dental Net will have rate passes.

Vision rates will be changing.

Plan Updates

Vivity Network Added to Small Group

Anthem Blue Cross is bringing their Vivity network to their small group portfolio. This network include the following top providers in the Los Angeles and Orange County area:

Vivity plans can save members up to 22% when compared to the Anthem Full Gold HMO.

Vivity plans will include:

• Link Gold Vivity HMO 25 6BVU
• Link Gold Vivity HMO 25/500 6BW6
• Link Gold Vivity HMO 35/1000 6BV8
• Link Gold Vivity HMO 35/1750 6BVG
• Link Platinum Vivity HMO 15 6BV0
• Link Silver Vivity HMO 50/2250 6BVY

These six plans are available with and without Whole Health Embedded Dental & Vision. They use the Rx Choice Tiered Network and include Opt-out Home Delivery and a Copay pharmacy design.

Other Updates

Anthem Blue Cross is adding a new Platinum HMO 0/20 plan. They will be changing two other plans' names and PCP copays to accommodate this new plan:

• The 2021 Platinum HMO 20 will become the Platinum HMO 0/25 in 2022
• The 2021 Platinum HMO 25 will become the Platinum HMO 0/30 in 2022

Whole Health plans will be expanded to include the following plans:

• Anthem Silver Select PPO 45/1750/40% WH
• Anthem Silver Select HMO 55/2250/45% WH
• Anthem Silver Priority Select HMO 55/2250/45% WH
• Anthem Link Vivity WH (all 6 plans)

Underwriting Promos Extended Through 3/15/22!

• DE-9C not required with 3 or more subscribers enrolling! Groups with prior coverage must submit prior carrier bill. Excludes virgin groups.
• Relaxed Participation: 25% participation for groups of 5 or more enrolled subscribers! 65% participation required for 4 or fewer enrolled subscribers.
• Valid Waivers: Individual coverage both on and off of the Exchange will be accepted as a valid waiver
• Network Flexibility: Groups can choose 2 PPO networks alongside 1 HMO network or 2 HMO networks alongside 1 PPO network
