Anthem Plan & Rate Updates Effective January 2025

Anthem announced rate and plan updates for January 1, 2025 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

 

Rates

Medical Quarterly Rate Change Average:

  • PPO: 1.2%
  • HMO: 0.8%

 

Medical Average Annual / Renewal Rate Change Average:

  • PPO: 7.7%
  • HMO: 9.4%

 

Dental new business rates will remain the same. Anthem is lowering Vision new business rates for January 2025.

 

Portfolio Updates

  • RxD plans are being discontinued, members will be mapped to the same plan design with the prescription drug deductible at renewal.
  • Silver level Priority Select HMO and Vivity HMO plans are being discontinued, members will be mapped to the lowest cost plans within the Priority Select HMO and Vivity HMO networks.
  • Adding a $5,000 Annual Max Dental plan.
  • Increased frame allowances from $130 to $200.
