Anthem Blue Cross has provided an update regarding their No DE-9C promotion when employees are not on the prior carrier bill or invoice.
If the employee enrolling is not on the prior carrier bill, Anthem will need the following depending on the scenario:
- Employee not on prior carrier bill and has been employed for over 6 months – Anthem will require 2 weeks payroll
- Employee not on prior carrier bill and is a new hire – Anthem will need 2 weeks payroll or date of hire letter. The date of hire letter should include:
- Date of hire
- Number of hours working/worked per week
- Anthem does not need payroll for those waiving/declining as long as the group is meeting participation and all other UW guidelines
