Anthem: Retail 90 Network Offers Convenient Choice for Rx

​Anthem wants to remind you and your clients about the Retail 90 pharmacy network, an option where members have a convenient way to obtain their prescriptions at their local pharmacy, available for 2017 benefit plans and beyond. 

Through the Retail 90 network, members can use their local pharmacy to fill up to a 90-day supply of their covered prescription medications. Clients who enroll in the Retail 90 network may achieve up to $1 per person per month in premium savings. 

Retail 90 is convenient and easy for members 

Using the Retail 90 network is convenient for members. It reduces the number of trips to the pharmacy for their prescriptions, and filling up to a 90-day supply of maintenance medications can help improve the chances that members stay on track with their drug therapy. 

Maintenance drugs are used to treat long-term conditions, like asthma or high blood pressure. Helping members stay on track with their medication regimen is very important — helping reduce doctor visits and hospital stays for members and lowering overall health care costs for both employers and members. 

Members aren't required to choose a Retail 90 pharmacy for their maintenance drugs. It's their choice. But if they do, they have many pharmacies to select from in the Retail 90 network – most pharmacies in Anthem's broader network also participate in the Retail 90 network.

How to find a Retail 90 pharmacy 

To search for a pharmacy in the Retail 90 network, employers and members should visit ​anthem.com/ca, choose Manage your Prescriptions from the Prescriptions section in the middle of the home page and log in. They'll be taken to the Pharmacy Overview page, where they should select Locate a Pharmacy to navigate to the tool on the website of Anthem's pharmacy benefits administrator, Express Scripts. Members can then enter their zip code or city/state to search for a Retail 90 pharmacy in their area. 

They can also search for a Retail 90 pharmacy in Anthem's Find a Doctor tool without the need to log in. From ​anthem.com/ca, they click on the menu in the upper left corner of the home page, select Find a Doctor and search as a guest.
