Anthem Submitted the Gag Clause Prohibition Compliance Attestation

On December 20, 2024, Anthem submitted Gag Clause Prohibition Compliance Attestations on behalf of their fully insured and ASO clients for the benefits they administer and maintain. The attestation includes active clients through December 20, 2024.

The gag clause provision of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires group health plans and issuers to submit an attestation each year to confirm compliance with the restriction on gag clauses. This attestation generally covers the period between January 1, 2024, through the date of attestation.

Anthem is committed to the timely implementation and execution of these regulations for their fully insured and self-insured employer groups. They'll continue to provide updates as they receive more regulatory guidance.
