Biden Administration Ending COVID-19 National Emergency and Public Health Emergency Effective May 11, 2023

The Biden Administration announced on January 30, 2023, that it will end the COVID-19 national emergency and public health emergency (PHE) on May 11, 2023. These emergencies were set to expire on March 1 and April 11 respectively, but they will now extend to May 11 to allow a wind-down period as they had previously committed to.
