CaliforniaChoice announced they will be adding three new UnitedHealthcare HMO plans to their portfolio effective February 1, 2027. Rates are available for quoting!
- UHC Platinum HMO D (SignatureValue)
- UHC Platinum HMO F (Alliance)
- UHC Platinum HMO O (Harmony)
Additional 2/1/27 Plan Changes Due to Health Net Exit
CaliforniaChoice is also removing Health Net plans from the portfolio effective February 1, 2027 for new and renewing groups. As previously communicated, here is how the Health Net commercial exit affects CalChoice new and renewing groups.
CaliforniaChoice Health Net exit timeline:
- Health Net within CalChoice will be available for new and renewing groups through January 1, 2027 for a full 12-month plan year.
- For example: a January 1, 2027 new or renewal group can keep Health Net within CalChoice through December 31, 2027.
- Health Net within CalChoice will not be available for new or renewal business for February 2027 and beyond.
- For example: a group renewing on June 1, 2027 can keep their Health Net coverage through the end of their current plan year (May 31, 2027 in this example), but their renewal will not include Health Net plans and members would need to switch to a different carrier within CalChoice's portfolio.
