CaliforniaChoice Plan & Rate Updates Effective April 2021
CaliforniaChoice announced rate and benefit changes for April 1, 2021 effective dates with no underwriting changes. Rates are available for quoting!
Rates
- Medical:
- Rates will change for Health Net, Sharp Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare, and Western Health Advantage
- Anthem Blue Cross, Kaiser Permanente, Oscar, and Sutter Health Plus will have rate passes
- Ancillary: rate pass
Plans & Benefits
Anthem Blue Cross is updating their Chiropractic benefit for the Anthem Blue Cross Platinum HMO A to $20 copay, 20 visits max per benefit period. The previous benefit was $15 copay, 20 visits max per benefit period.
MetLife is adding two new DHMO options, MET100 and MET185, effective April 1, 2021. Both plans are offered as Employer Sponsored and Voluntary and include the MetLife Dental HMO/Managed Care Network.
Zip Codes
Western Health Advantage is expanding their zip code list to include the following:
- 94952 (Marin)
- 95678 (Sacramento)
- 95887 (Sacramento)
Forms
Only the updated applications for April 1, 2021 will be accepted beginning with the April 1, 2021 effective date. Earlier versions will not be accepted. Write-ins or cross-outs are not accepted.
