CaliforniaChoice Plan & Rate Updates Effective July 2023

CaliforniaChoice announced plan and rate updates for July 1, 2023 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

Rates

• Medical:
  • Rates are changing for Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna + Oscar, Health Net, Sharp Health Plan, and Western Health Advantage
  • Rates are not changing for Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health Plus, and UnitedHealthcare

Plan Updates

CaliforniaChoice is adding the following plans effective July 1, 2023:

• Anthem Blue Cross Platinum PPO A (Prudent Buyer - Full Network PPO)
• Anthem Blue Cross Gold PPO F (Prudent Buyer - Full Network PPO)
• Anthem Blue Cross Gold PPO G (Select PPO)

There are zip code changes for the following Anthem Blue Cross and UnitedHealthcare networks effective July 1, 2023:

• Anthem Blue Cross
  • Prudent Buyer PPO added 22 zip codes and removed 6 zip codes
  • CaliforniaCare HMO added 89 zip codes and removed 7 zip codes
  • Select HMO added 18 zip codes and removed 2 zip codes
  • Priority Select HMO removed 8 zip codes
• UnitedHealthcare Harmony HMO added 3 zip codes

Forms

Only the updated applications for July 1, 2023 will be accepted beginning with the July 1, 2023 effective date. Earlier versions will not be accepted. Write-ins or cross-outs are not accepted.

Book Rates

Book rates for CaliforniaChoice will be posted to the B&P website when they are available.
