CCSB: Important Information Regarding Senate Bill 78

Covered California for Small Business sent an email to their active employers on Thursday, November 7, 2019, letting them know how CCSB can help individuals comply with California's new individual mandate. CCSB will allow employees and/or their dependents who previously declined coverage in 2019, a special enrollment period (SEP) through the end of January 2020 for a coverage effective date of January 1, 2020. Employees and/or dependents can enroll effective January 1, 2020 regardless of their employer's renewal date.

Employees can enroll by completing the Employee Change Form and selecting "Loss or Gain of Other Coverage" as the Reason for Change before submitting.
