Covered California for Small Business announced rate updates for April 1, 2025 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

 

Rate Updates

Quarterly trend from 2025 Q1 to 2025 Q2 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 1.3%
    • PPO: 1.6%
  • Kaiser Permanente: Pass*
  • Sharp Health Plan: Pass

 

Annual trend from 2024 Q2 to 2025 Q2 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 6.2%
    • PPO: 5.0%
  • Kaiser Permanente: 7.3%
  • Sharp Health Plan: 5.8%

 

*Reminder: *Reminder: Kaiser Permanente only changes rates once a year (in January) so their quarterly trends will be 0% for Q2, Q3 and Q4. Their annual trend will be the same all year too at 7.3%.
