CCSB Plan & Rate Updates Effective January 2024

Covered California for Small Business announced rate updates for January 1, 2024 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

Rates

Quarterly trend from 2023 Q4 to 2024 Q1 (may vary by plan and region): 

• Blue Shield:
  • HMO: 4.1%
  • PPO: 3.6%
• Kaiser Permanente: 8.8%*
• Sharp Health Plan: 1.2%

*Reminder: Kaiser Permanente only changes rates once a year (January in 2023) so their quarterly trend from Q4 2023 to Q1 2024 is the same as their annual trend.

Annual trend from 2023 Q1 to 2024 Q1 (may vary by plan and region): 

• Blue Shield:
  • HMO: 9.5%
  • PPO: 8.8%
• Kaiser Permanente: 8.8%
• Sharp Health Plan: 5.8%

Plan Updates

Kaiser Permanente is introducing a new Platinum HMO plan in 2024 that will be available through CCSB with and without Infertility:

• Kaiser Platinum 90 HMO 250/30 + Child Dental Alt
• Kaiser Platinum 90 HMO 250/30 + Child Dental Alt INF
