Covered California for Small Business announced rate updates for July 1, 2026 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

 

Rates

Quarterly trend from 2026 Q2 to 2026 Q3 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 3.3%
    • PPO: 3.4%
  • Kaiser Permanente: Pass*
  • Sharp Health Plan: Pass

 

*Reminder: Kaiser Permanente only changes rates once a year (January) so they will not have any quarterly rate changes for the rest of the year.

 

Annual trend from 2025 Q3 to 2026 Q3 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 11.2%
    • PPO: 9.9%
  • Kaiser Permanente: 7.4%
  • Sharp Health Plan: 4.3%
