CCSB Plan & Rate Updates Effective October 2024

Covered California for Small Business announced rate updates for October 1, 2024 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!

 

Rates

Quarterly trend from Q3 2024 to Q4 2024 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 1.3%
    • PPO: 1.6%
  • Kaiser Permanente: Pass*
  • Sharp Health Plan: 2.2%

 

Annual trend from Q4 2023 to Q4 2024 (may vary by plan and region): 

  • Blue Shield:
    • HMO: 9.0%
    • PPO: 8.1%
  • Kaiser Permanente: 8.8%
  • Sharp Health Plan: 7.5%

 

*Reminder:  Kaiser Permanente only changes rates once a year. Their quarterly trend is 0% all year and their annual trend will be 8.8% all year.

 

Dental Network Updates

Effective October 1, 2024, California Dental Network (CDN) will no longer be a participating Qualified Dental Plan of the Covered California for Small Business Exchange. The following CCSB Qualified Dental Plan (QDP) issues will continue to participate:

  • Delta Dental
  • Dental Health Services
