Health Net: Roche Accu-Chek® and Abbott FreeStyle® Will Replace Lifescan OneTouch® 2026

Members can continue to use OneTouch® but pay at a higher Tier level

Effective January 1, 2026, Health Net will apply changes to the covered blood glucose meters and test strips under the pharmacy benefit.

As part of this update, Lifescan OneTouch® meters and test strips will no longer be covered at the preferred Tier 2 level.

Members who choose to continue using OneTouch® test strips may do so; however, they will be processed at Tier 3, with no prior approval required. OneTouch meters will no longer be available as of December 1, 2025.

The covered brand will move to Roche Accu-Chek® and Abbott FreeStyle® meters and test strips.
