Important Update on the Beam Perks Program
Over the years, the Beam Perks program* built around our smart toothbrush has been a cornerstone of how Beam delivers value to members and groups. Thanks to your partnership, Perks has helped strengthen relationships and support healthier smiles across communities.
After thoughtful consideration, Beam has decided to end the Perks program. While this decision wasn’t easy, it reflects Beam's commitment to ensuring Beam remains innovative, sustainable, and focused on what truly drives value for you and your clients.
The reality is that enrollment in Perks has been low– just 4% of members¹, and declining – which told Beam that it’s not providing real value to your clients. Rather than continuing a program with limited impact, Beam is focusing their resources on more meaningful initiatives.
Beam is no longer just a dental company; they've evolved into a one-stop shop for all ancillary benefits, including Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Supplemental Health. With tools like the Beam Quoting Tool^ and BeamElect**, and exciting new partnerships, Beam is doubling down on solutions that truly make a difference for you and your clients. Stay tuned for more updates on what’s ahead!
Here’s what you need to know now:
- Key Dates: Groups with January, February, and March effective dates will have access to Perks as usual. For groups with April and later effective dates, Perks will be provided only if they were quoted before December 19, 2024. The program will officially conclude by May 2025.
- Inventory: Beam has sufficient stock to fulfill Perks through this transition, ensuring continuity for impacted members.
- Resources: To support you, Beam has prepared a document of key details that you can access in the Broker Resource Center.
This decision allows Beam to reinvest their resources into developing new and exciting initiatives that Beam can’t wait to share with you next year. From partnerships to better support your clients to enhanced tools that make your work even easier, there’s a lot to look forward to in 2025 and beyond.
Beam will follow up in January with additional details about these changes, including the communications that will be shared with your groups and members.
