In Notice 2018-94, the IRS has pushed back the furnishing deadlines for forms 1095-B and 1095-C that are sent to individuals to March 4, 2019. The previous deadline was January 31, 2019.
A member does not need to amend their tax return should they file their tax return prior to receiving their forms, however, the IRS recommends keeping the forms with their tax records.
Please note, this extension only applies to forms 1095-B and 1095-C forms that are sent to individuals. Forms 1094-B, 1094-C, 1095-B, and 1095-C are still due by February 28, 2019 (or April 1, 2019 if filing electronically) to the IRS.
