Kaiser Plan & Rate Updates Effective January 2024
Kaiser announced plan and rate updates for January 1, 2024 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!
Rates
Medical:
- Northern CA: 10% average annual increase
- Southern CA: 8.3% average annual increase
Kaiser Permanente only changes rates once a year, so these January 2024 rates will be good for all 2024.
Plan Updates
Kaiser Permanente is adding one new plan in 2024 to help bridge the gap between current Platinum HMO and Gold HMO plans. The new plan is the:
- Platinum 90 HMO 250/30 + Child Dental Alt
This plan will be available within the CaliforniaChoice and Covered CA for Small Business portfolios as well.
Kaiser Permanente is not discontinuing any plans for 2024. Other plans may have benefit modifications due to changes to the 2024 actuarial value calculators, with the biggest changes being to the medical deductible and out-of-pocket maximums.
There are no changes to the dental, acupuncture, or chiropractic ancillary product benefits.
Broker Bonus
Earn a $100 bonus per enrolled member when you enroll at least 10 members from a qualified, new small group in California with effective dates between October 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024.
