MetLife to Acquire Versant Health, Owner of Davis Vision and Superior Vision

MetLife announced today that they have agreed to acquire Versant Health, owner of the well-established marketplace brands Davis Vision and Superior Vision.

For your customers with MetLife Vision insurance

For MetLife Vision customers, there will be no immediate change to existing plans. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals and is targeted to close in the fourth quarter of this year. Following the integration, customers will be able to access an expanded choice of retail providers and continue to utilize MetLife’s existing employer servicing and billing experience. MetLife will communicate with you in detail regarding migration opportunities once the transaction is completed. Employees will then have access to Versant Health’s network and member servicing. Until then, it is business as usual.
