Prescription Discount Program Coming in March for Anthem Members

Available March 2024, EnsureRx is a cost-saving program that ensures members get the lowest price on prescription medications and maximize the value of their benefit.

EnsureRx will be a free, seamless benefit for CarelonRx members. Members will simply use their pharmacy member ID card at a retail pharmacy as usual, and EnsureRx will identify and apply the lowest cost available to them on select generic medications. Medications filled under the EnsureRx discount program will count toward a member’s deductible and out-of-pocket maximum.

With EnsureRx, members will be able to preview medication savings and pricing at various pharmacies through the Sydney Health app, the Anthem websites, or customer service.

EnsureRx drives affordability for both members and employers by:

• Seamlessly delivering members the lowest available prescription price at point of sale with any in-network retail pharmacy.
• Providing access to a proprietary network of cash pay discount cards and pharmacies on 50+ non-specialty, generic medications.
• Delivering an exceptional member experience, eliminating the need to independently shop around for the lowest prescription cost before going to the pharmacy.

CarelonRx may receive compensation from Waltz Health in connection with the services provided to Employers' members. To the extent CarelonRx receives such compensation, it will be based on the number of member claims for covered prescriptions.
