UHC: Fenix Medical Group Leaving UHC HMO Networks Effective January 1, 2027

Effective January 1, 2027, FENIX MEDICAL GROUP will no longer participate in the UnitedHealthcare HMO networks in San Bernardino County. This change applies specifically to Fenix Medical Group providers and members who currently receive care from those providers.
What Brokers and Employers Should Know
- Fenix Medical Group providers will no longer be available through the applicable UnitedHealthcare HMO networks effective January 1, 2027.
- Members who currently receive care from Fenix Medical Group providers should review their provider relationships and available network alternatives prior to renewal.
- UnitedHealthcare will assist affected members with provider searches, primary care physician changes, and transition support related to this network change.
- Members undergoing active treatment with a Fenix Medical Group provider may qualify for Continuity of Care provisions, allowing continued treatment with certain providers for a limited period when clinically appropriate.
- Groups renewing January 1, 2027, will have an opportunity to evaluate available network options as part of their renewal process.
Affected members can:
- Verify Fenix Medical Group provider participation through myuhc.com.
- Contact the Customer Care number on their member ID card for assistance.
- Work with their broker or UnitedHealthcare representative to understand available alternatives and transition options.
